Diamond Match is an exciting online game where players test their minds and hand-eye coordination against an ever-changing grid of brilliantly colored gems. Play as a diamond matcher as you move gems around a board to create clusters of matching colors, clearing them from the board and increasing your score. Look out for gem clusters with bonus moves that help you clear the board faster and increase your score even more. Be careful, though, as the playing field is changing and getting more challenging every level.
The aim of the game is to create clusters of three or more gems of the same color by swapping adjacent non-matching gems. When you successfully create a match, the gems will vanish off the board and new gems will appear to fill the gap. Creating larger clusters will award you with bonus moves and higher scores. The more matches you make, the bigger bonus you get!
At the beginning of the game, you are given a board full of brightly colored gems. Using the arrow keys, you can move the cursor around the board to select a gem. Once you have selected one gem, use the space bar to select another gem adjacent to the first. This will swap the two gems and if the combination of the gems makes a matching set of three or more, the gems will vanish off the board and new gems rush into the board to fill the gap.
Diamond Match comes with two game modes: Normal and Challenge. In Normal mode, the game board is filled with randomly distributed gems. In Challenge mode, the game board has some blank spaces mixed into the gems. These blank spaces mean you have to clear more gems yourself, giving you an extra challenge.
Different levels of the game will introduce new elements to the game, such as immovable gems and blocks that require you to clear out a certain number of gems to get past them and continue to the next level. Additionally, as you progress through the levels, the board will move around as you play, making it difficult to make matches.
Larger clusters of gems will reward you with bonus moves, allowing you to make more matches and get higher scores. If you create a match of five or more gems in a row, you’ll get a rainbow bonus that doubles your score. Additionally, if you clear a certain number of gems in a round, you’ll be rewarded with an extra score bonus.
