Uno Online is very easy to play and the game controls are not complicated. Players simply need to click on a card to either play it or draw one, select an action (for action cards) and challenge an opponent as needed.
Before the game starts, each player should choose a username. This can be anything, as long as it does not contain any offensive content. Then, each player must select a card colour for their turn. Once all players have chosen, the game can begin.
The player who has chosen the highest card first starts the game. The game will shuffle and then each player will get 2 cards. 7 cards will be dealt to form a draw pile and the remaining cards will form the discard pile. The game will then automatically choose any player to start the game. The first card for the player to play will be the discard pile's top card.
Players can play any card they have in their hand, as long as the card has the same number, colour or symbol as the card currently on top of the discard pile. If a player cannot make a valid move, they must draw a card from the draw pile. If the drawn card cannot be played, it should be set aside and the player will draw again until they get a valid card. After that, their turn is over.
Action cards indicate special abilities that can be used during the game. For example, the "Draw Two" card will make the next player draw two cards from the draw pile. The "Reverse" card will switch the direction of the game, and the "Skip" card will make the next player skip their turn.
